random stuff about me: I just picked up the WIFE title October 12, 2002. Loving being an old married lady very much. I am a stuff fiend and a packrat and a champion bargain shopper. I love bad reality TV, which is running rampant right about now (it's January and 6 degrees outside, I think all this TV is surely justified!) as well as really good HBO series (Oz, Six Feet Under, Sex and the City, etc...). I also truly relish home decor/DIY shows and fawn over Changing Rooms and Trading Spaces as well as random bits and bobs on HGTV. On the non-couch-potato side, I love reading, writing, surfing the internet, redecorating often, and crafting, crafting, crafting. We've got a gorgeous lady black lab called Casey (she also responds to Poochie Magoochie, Petunia, Tuni Bear, and Precious) who is queen of the couch and counterproductive in my struggle to be a neat person.

where I'm from: I grew up in South Bend, Indiana and graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School, home of the famed Wildcats and Heathers writer Dan Waters.

where I went to school: I didn't go far from home and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double major: American Studies (because I liked it) and Computer Applications (because I wanted to eventually be able to work).

what I do for a living: I'm a systems/software testing analyst and release coordinator for enterprise marketing data services at Allstate's illustrious home office in Northbrook, Illinois. Super exciting...

what I'd like to be doing: I really don't know what I want to do when I grow up! I completed my certificate in Graphic Design from the Illinois Institute of Art in November 2002 and am currently dabbling in doing some design work. See my home-based side business at Dragonflower Press. I also really enjoy designing clothes/accessories/my home's interior as well as dreaming up entrepreneurial opportunities all the time. Wish there were a viable think tank in this yucky economy we're in where I could be making $$ thinking up the things other people should do!
